"Don't know why I decided to watch this tonight but it's controversial status has interested me since I went through an extended Ralph Bakshi phase. Honestly, the title and advertised art style almost act as a filtration system to cut right to the type of people who are primed to look past the rough edges of this movie to see the subversive sentiments. But man, those edges are rough. This is a great Song of the South parody inside a mediocre Godfather parody steeped in blaxploitation excess directed by a white director. And yeah, the caricature work is... uncomfortable all the way through. Also, Bakshis signature horniness is omnipresent here. It's a complicated, mixed bag I'll say."
