"This felt disjointed and was frustrating since I wasn't well versed about Big Star's history. Having a narrator would've have helped. The band was clearly talented and songwriting was strong. Notwithstanding the non-existent promotion, Chilton was focused on destruction everything in his path while Bell was fighting demons of his own. There's no doubt their perpetual unhappiness allowed a black cloud to forever follow them. It's unfortunately a sad story that repeats with entertainers to this day.
I do want to now read Holly George-Warren's biography on Alex and Rich Tupica's on Chris.
