"Okay, I'm not going to go into too much detail in whatever project I end up doing for Pride so I'll just talk about it now. This is, in a lot of ways, very cool. It's a sympathetic portrayal of a trans woman in the 1970s. As such it also misses a lot of marks. Surgery is kind of the end all be all and the language used reflects that. Also, the trans woman is played by a cis woman in a movie written and directed entirely by cis people as far as I know. Ultimately, I probably won't talk about it because it's way out of my wheelhouse. It's about the transgender experience and a trans woman.
