"That movie!! Imagine some very raunchy comedy only indie, Euro and gay. It starts off as a subtitled film - I loved it! It’s both very original and very easy-breezy. I loved how casual the film is with the unstimulated sex and 🍆 peppered all throughout and how much fun they are having with it. It’s all nicely synergized with the fun the film is poking at the social media mindset. My verdict is - loved it, will watch again!! "
"[***LIGHT SPOILERS AHEAD***] What a fascinating chain of events! At first the film is a bit of a slow burn into the life of a struggling artist, Sebastián, on a creative block, and the last ditch effort he takes to reignite his passion. We’re then introduced to the interesting, clownish Jordan that serves as a contrast to the more rigid and stressed Sebastián. How these two characters relate can be comedic! The transition from comedy into mystery-thriller after Sebastián’s disappearance leaves the viewer stuck: you want Jordan to solve the crime but you don’t want the “killer” to suffer the consequences. Did they kill Sebastián? Was it really their fault? It’s one of those moments where the injustice of Sebastián’s disappearance lies in a weird murky area. Also, the (un-simulated?) sex scenes will shock you if you come from a more sexually squeamish background, but they weren’t distasteful — quite the opposite! The refusal to look away during these intimate moments reminders the viewer that we’re peering into the world of an already-established culture. If these scenes command shame, then burden of shame is on the audience, and it is viewer’s responsibility to look away. "
