"I probably don't need to say the obvious but this was such an emotional documentary, I was constantly crying throughout. I also learned more about efforts made by the family to make changes in the military law which added to the heavy emotion surrounding this story. This is a documentary worth watching"
"Great documentary. Very thought provoking and you’d have to be made up of stone to not feel for the family. "

"This is a must watch. It’s beyond time to have documentaries like this one on the things that are still occurring in military settings. Philip Zimbardo has a Ted Talk discussing this issue called “The Psychology of Evil” on YT, which I highly recommend watching. Philip Zimbardo is the researcher behind the Stanford Prison Experiment and has dedicated much of his life to understanding group conformity and power dynamics. Zimbardo discusses the horrific things that occurred at Abu Ghraib by the US Army which were systemic and not “just a few bad apples” as have been depicted in the past. There have been numerous articles and news reports regarding alleged corruption, problematic investigations, and lack of objective oversight in the military."
"Again, love documentaries. What the family does for their daughter/sister is phenomenal. So sad. Brings up an issue that so needs to be and sooooo much more needs to be done. The military needs to pay for its ugliness some f’n day. Not always get away with rape and murder and total injustices. God Bless Vanessa’s family. "
