Steve Brooks, a sexist womanizer, is killed by a group of his angry former lovers. In heaven, he makes a bargain with God for redemption and agrees to return to Earth. Once there, he must have a sincere relationship with a female and make her fall in love with him. If not, Steve's soul will become the property of the devil. But the devil hedges his bet, and Steve is reincarnated as a woman named Amanda Brooks.

"Ellen Barkin was amazing in her role. The writing is another story lol. The story is way too cavalier about certain things that should’ve been treated with more seriousness, like Walter’s creepiness. And the “funny” bits are dragged out too far, like Steve never learning how to walk in heels. Still, this movie plays with gender in a way that’s so fun, like God having two voices, one male and one female, and Steve growing to enjoy being a woman as much as he enjoyed being a man. "
