The Happy Thieves

"This faux-heist film, which takes place in Madrid, Spain, stars Rita Hayworth, Rex Harrison, and Joseph Wiseman. I recently read a movie blog in which Rex Harrison calls this movie "utter rubbish." I can see why, but let me qualify that statement. I did enjoy the movie...to a degree. It is fun and light, but the plot seems to be a little muddled in the last act. Rita Hayworth plays the role of an insecure woman who unfortunately came in love with Harrison's character. That romantic interest is what makes this movie more of a light breezy romantic comedy that at its center is supposed to be a heist movie. The cast is good, and the acting is okay. I enjoyed the real scenes of the Toreador and Bull 🐂 fight in Madrid, and the Prado Museum. "
