"Beats The Silence of the Lambs for suspense—it's the kind of book that had me literally gasping aloud as it rattled to its incredible conclusion."—Cory Doctorow, New York Times bestselling author of HomelandWhat if the most terrifying person you know is your ten-year-old sister?Seventeen-year-old Aussie Che Taylor loves his younger sister, Rosa. But he’s also certain that she’s a psychopath—clinically, threateningly, dangerously. Recently Rosa has been making trouble, hurting things. Che is the only one who knows; he’s the only one his sister trusts. Rosa is smart, talented, pretty, and very good at hiding what she is and the manipulation she’s capable of.Their parents, whose business takes the family from place to place, brush off the warning signs as Rosa’s “acting out.” Now that they have moved again—from Bangkok to New York City—their new hometown provides far too many opportunities for Rosa to play her increasingly complex and disturbing games. Che’s always been Rosa’s rock, protecting her from the world. Now, the world might need protection from her.

"Well this book threw me for a loop. I believe the narrator Justine Larbalestier brought this book up a level. Highly enjoyed his voice but really glad he didn't do a creepy 10 year old girl laugh. (⌒_⌒;)

What I always like most is not knowing what's around the corner. The plot did hint around and distract while someone power drove a plank to the side of your face. The New York setting was very nice as well. I don't know why but the city always gives the words a rich feel.

Ugh I got so sick of the parents putting everything on their son but it did make for a better story and it gave you that helpless feeling as a child when you know no one will believe you. I was starting to feel a little crazy myself while reading not knowing who to trust.

The stoey became sinister fast haha Che is like looking around happy seeing other people happy enjoying life.....**** blonde curly hair there she is. Ahhhhhhhh. I just could never tell if Rosa was lieing or not which made it worse. She was too unpredictable which creeped me out super hard. I'll probably be pushing my dresser in front of the door tonight.

The ending was just twist after twist. Very interesting plot, highly enjoyed."
"OMG i ******* loved this book so much. Sometimes i worry in YA that the characters will be two-dimensional, but i loved all the characters and felt like they had depth. My emotions went on such a rollercoaster ride and left me haunted in a good way. The twists were a tad bit predictable but again i don't care because of the way they were executed. I literally could not stop reading this and read it all in one session. i loved the theme of loving someone even if they can't love you back. Overall i loved this read so much and definitely recommend it."
