"Gave up after 70 pages. More than half of what I read was just adjectives. I really don’t need the scene setting in THAT much detail. It reminded me of a kid in school trying to use as many adjectives as they possibly can so they seem smart. It really annoyed me. It definitely had potential and that’s why I didn’t give it 1 star but I don’t believe for one second that his writing style changed and I didn’t want to read 100’s of more page about how the soft moonlight reflected off the grey, wet, cold rock on the hard, sandy beach. WHO CARES?! Get on with the story already. "

"This is the very first book I read from this author but I liked it a lot, the story starts as a murder case but it quickly turns into an encounter and dealing with the past of our protagonist, leaving the case just as the pivot that forces everything into action. I wouldn't recommend this book if you prefer cold scientific evidence like in a CSI show because there's too little of it but it still is a very good story of being able to accept the things that you've done wrong, the things that you can't forgive, the things that you can't forget and process them in order to start anew with your life."
