A smart, sassy contemporary teen novel full of romance, secrets, and ESP from the author of Ten Things We Did (And Probably Shouldn't Have) and Bras & Broomsticks! We weren't always like this. We used to be average New York City high school sophomores. Until our homeroom went for flu shots. We were prepared for some side effects. Maybe a headache. Maybe a sore arm. We definitely didn't expect to get telepathic powers. But suddenly we could hear what everyone was thinking. Our friends. Our parents. Our crushes. Now we all know that Tess is in love with her best friend, Teddy. That Mackenzie cheated on Cooper. That, um, Nurse Carmichael used to be a stripper. Since we've kept our freakish skill a secret, we can sit next to the class brainiac and ace our tests. We can dump our boyfriends right before they dump us. We know what our friends really think of our jeans, our breath, our new bangs. We always know what's coming. Some of us will thrive. Some of us will crack. None of us will ever be the same. So stop obsessing about your ex. We're always listening."Smart and frequently hilarious."--Publishers Weekly, starred“A tour-de-force comic narration that will leave you gasping in awe—if you ever catch your breath from laughing.”—E. "Reseña completa: El Extraño Gato del Cuento

AWESOME U_U

"I was not a fan of this book. I don't know exactly what I was expecting from it, maybe for the ESP to be put to good use. There was an ominous tone to the book in the first chapter which got me excited to read it, to read about how this hive mind would work and the things they could do with this ability.

Then it went to crap. Some of the thoughts and one-liners were cute and humorous but for the most part, I didn't really care about any of the characters. Pi in particular annoyed me to hell. Granted, for me she was the more relatable character because of what she wanted to do with the ability (so what does that say about me? LOL!) but she was an irritating character to have to read about, bossing everyone around and making the decisions for the group.

Also the writing and the tone of the book felt like it should have been marketed to elementary or junior high kids instead of the typical YA. Every character felt like the stereotypical teen which ended up being a bit of a bore to read. And while the book was contained to only a few characters for the most part, there were far too many side characters.

All in all, while it was an easy read, I didn't particularly find it to be a good one."
