Nick Allen is very bright, but he often gets into trouble at school. When he starts fifth grade with Mrs. Grangerwho has a reputation for never letting her students get away with anythingit looks like his trouble- making days are over. However, he takes advantage of her love of dictionaries to get back at her by making up a word which becomes notorious in the whole school and beyond.
