""It's Halloween, 1963...and getting on toward dark."

Dark Harvest is a quick & fun Halloween read. I read this with a group of friends, and I think everyone enjoyed it. The reviews on this book are really mixed, and I feel like this book may have been written with a YA audience in mind.

This book has some sad and heavy moments, but for horror, it's on the lighter side. If you like stories about small town secrets, Dark Harvest is one to pick up.

This book isn't perfect - I wasn't a huge fan of the switching back and forth between second and third person, but overall, it's an enjoyable Halloween story.
"
""Who is the monster and who is the man?"

Some books sneakily burrow their way inside your favourites shelf, that is exactly what Dark Harvest did.

It wasn't an unpredictable book at all, I could see what was coming from miles ahead, but I enjoyed it nevertheles. It's not that it's a simple story, absolutely not, but this book delivers exactly what you want out of it.

And to be honest, I'm just a sucker (overall.) for Halloween-themed stuff. I eat that sh*t for breakfast.
Perhaps I should make a shelf out of it.

In any case, great short read. Great monster read. Go read this book."
