Interviews with researchers in the field offer additional insights for readers and aspiring scientists.Queer behavior in animals is as diverse and complex—and as natural—as it is in our own species. It doesn’t set us apart from animals—it bonds us even closer to our animal selves.

"I usually don't like non-fiction very much and I can't get into it very easily, but the way this was written was really good, and I really enjoyed reading it. I learned so much from this book that I wasn't expecting, and it was really interesting. Also, I loved the little drawings and comics scattered throughout the book!"
"This was actually so good!! I’m very much not a non fiction reader, I tend to get bored really easily, but this was fascinating! Besides the subject matter just being really interesting, I think the format of the book was structured really well and made it fun to be learning new things! I also listened to the audiobook and I definitely recommend it!"
