How Much To. . ?

"I don't think "I Survived That" is something you don't want to be thinking about after finishing a book. I slogged through the second half of this. I had to take a break once it was so disturbing. My body was reacting to what I was reading, it was that bad. There's Slugs by Shaun Hutson and then there's this. Slugs look like child's play to this. And people compare things to Slugs and call it to same if that tells you anything. My question is why? What does this tell us about humanity that we're capable of these things? Is this novella doing anything besides appealing to a weird percentage of the population that wants to see how far things can go? I'm working on a disturbing book project currently and so many of the books I've read are disturbing but have so much to them. I feel like I get things out of them. I don't think I got anything from this besides the fact I can say I was able to stomach it. This felt like the hottest chip challenge but in book form, it's not going to be a fun experience and the only reason you go through with it is to say you completed it. Unless Matt Shaw is part of the challenge I'm going through, I think I'm done with him. I pushed through two of his works and was largely displeased with both of them. I'm glad to be done."
