I wish I had listened sooner.

This was one of those stories that had me instantly hooked. Not only the style of the writing, but the way it was read. I feel like that's very important for audiobooks. If I don't like the reader's style it's difficult to stay engaged. But this was not the case here. Everything hooked me right away, and didn't let go.

I don't even know how to eloquently express my feelings on this book. But I loved it. Once again Quick has really struck a nerve with me, and in a wonderfully emotional way. I love the way emotional disturbances and mental illnesses have been portrayed in his writing. I feel like it's authentic. I hope that young people read this and can identify with Leonard, or at least empathize, to help them understand troubles that people face and how it can effect them. I also hope that they see how even having just one person there to support them and believe in them can make such an impact. And, like in Playbook, how denial and suppression cripples the mind and spirit.
