"If you are in a relationship and have had any of the following symptoms these past two years, I would prescribe this book as a remedy: loneliness, confusion, feeling trapped, feeling lost, and general frustration with things beyond your control. In short, there is something for everyone, though at its heart, I would say this story is about love.

Enter the residents of London Lane: a picture-perfect fitness rep who finds herself trapped for a week (unfiltered!) with her new boyfriend; a YouTube gamer who has too much time to contemplate his daily routine without his girlfriend while she is trapped outside the building; a guest who's one-night stand turns into a one week stand; one half of a long-term couple who suddenly realizes that maybe she doesn't know who she's been living with; and finally, the host of a DIY wedding weekend who ends up sharing her sacred space with the bridal party until quarantine is lifted.

Needless to say, chaos ensues. But while it's entertaining and funny as all get out (Imogen wins comedy queen in my book), it also tackles some serious elements that we've all had to grapple with as a result of the heightened environment we are living in. Reading a pandemic book amidst this new variant is sobering, but it's a friendly reminder of how far we have come and how much has changed for good. Maybe not for the better, but as we all know by now, change is the only constant, and nowhere is that more evident than in this reflective novel.

So pour yourself a cup of tea (or wine, I won't judge) and settle into the safety and comfort of your own home to enjoy this foray into the very recent past. We can indulge ourselves in the fact that while maybe no one has thrived these past two years, we can find humor in certain situations and maybe we can find a silver lining somewhere in the dark."
