"<b>“I don’t want you to love me in spite of your common sense, Cora. I want you to love me because nothing else in the world could stop you…I want to be loved because the idea of a life with me is enough to change everything, not something you do against your better judgment.”</b><br/><br/>I had such a good time reading this book, it hit all the right marks that I love in a historical romance. This was my first sapphic historical romance and the first book by this author I’ve read and I can’t wait to read more. Cora and Manuela the main characters had so much chemistry and great banter. Both characters were great but I loved Manuela so much, her openness, flirting, outspokenness and general character spoke to me. The romance was super cute and steamy with a third act conflict/breakup that made sense with the characters and the world that they lived in. I also really like the author portrayed the 1889 Paris world, female artist and queer communities it was very interesting to read. I need Aurora and Apollo’s book to be next cause their foreshadowing was so good"
