"Trying to put past hurts behind you is hard when your ex is a fool, but buoyed by child support and alimony, Jo Walker is moving forward with her life, pursuing a career, raising her little girl, and trying to live in peace. She believes she has all the bases covered in her world. But what about her heart? Rap legend Everett "Big SOuth" McClain is divorced, too, knows all about failed relationships, and has relegated his love life to casual connections rather than pursuing something real. That is, until he lays eyes on Jo. She's exactly what he never knew he needed. He's what's been missing from her world. Will she accept what he has to offer and let him love her?"--Back cover.

"This was an all fine and dandy little gem. I picked it because one of my fav narrator read it but otherwise, noting special happened in this. Also, I don't really enjoy romance books that focus on characters' age as the conflict. Unless there's pedo **** going on, there's really nothing exciting/wrong about dating ppl of different age...<br/><br/>Pick this up if you mind a few cliches..."
"<strong>Drama filled </strong><br/><br/>Not what I was expecting as the follow up to the first book but pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed this duet because it shows no one is all good or all bad. One decision in time doesn’t necessarily make the person. With each character Vivian, Reece and Dillon we see this time and again through the duet. But holy moly the angst, drama and tears keep coming. As Vivian did I also find myself hating and loving both Dillon and Reeve. Definitely recommend this read."
