"The rise and fall of the beautiful and the talented. It all seemed quite magical for a while there.. For all of the girls. Right up until it didn’t, that is. What a read! I knew it wasn’t going to be a fairytale with a happy ending, yet it was still much darker than I would have expected. Anne gave off the most hopeful & wholesome vibe, and I wanted nothing but the truest love and a picture perfect life for her. ******’ Lyon. ******’ Neely. Oh, and **** you, Margie!"
"Update: I just watched the movie. It was terrible! But, the best line in the book was still there “Give me back my hair, you bitch!” It might be the basis for every reality show today. <br/>This book was super fun and ridiculous, like a campy soap opera. I cannot see why it was considered scandalous for the 60’s though. Anne was one of the dumbest characters - she acted like a 12 year old love struck kid pining after Lyon her whole life. Neeley was just a horrible person and poor Jen was really the only sympathetic character in the entire book!"
