My review on this book probably won’t be as lengthy and full of gripping, but here is what I thought of this book:
I liked it. I didn’t love it, I liked it.
It would be about a 3 1/2 – 4 star book for me because it is a Harry Potter book.

I will be honest, it did sound a little fanfic-y at parts, but it kept me interested enough to keep reading. I finished the book in less than a day.

I have heard a lot of people say that they were disappointed that, other than the fanfic-y story, was that it was written like a script and not like the novels we were used too.
Personally, I had no problem at all reading it as it was. I used to act in plays and such when I was younger and since Shakespeare is also written like that, it was a breeze for me to read through.

Once I finished reading the book, I was browsing through some Buzzfeed articles and was reading what others agreed and disagreed on it.
I agree with some and not with others. For example, that *SPOILERS* Hermione became Minister for Magic in the basic timeline, but in another, was just the DAtDA teacher at Hogwarts because she was bitter about Ron not loving her? Personally, I think she wouldn’t really go THAT far to not become Minister, she could still do it and be bitter at Ron at the same time.
Hermione is WAY too intelligent to let anything like that get in her way.

I also didn’t care much for how Ron was portrayed, since he was my favourite character in the books. I also would have liked an explanation of why he’s running Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes. What happened to George? Did he not want to run it anymore after Fred died? What?

Other characters we could have wanted more info on: Rose, Teddy, James and Lily Potter (the kids), maybe a little more Ginny than what we got, etc.

Yes, now I will admit, yaoi isn’t my thing and I really wanted the sexual tension between Albus and Scorpious to flourish!!!!!!
Scorpious is the cutest thing ever! (Please ignore the teenage girl trying to burst through the 31 year old body…she knows not what she does!)

Also, Harry is kind of a dick at some parts *coughYELLINGATMCGONAGALLcough*.

All and all I’ve got my bitching done about what I didn’t like and what I didn’t mind, but I will recommend this book to any HP fan since it does bring us back to the places that we loved for so long.
I may not consider this Canon myself, I did enjoy it and will probably read it again.
