"I’ve thoroughly enjoyed all of the books I’ve read by Kearsley."

"I liked the premise and I really enjoyed The Winter Sea. But this one made me lose my patience. Lots of drinking and a heroine who seemed scared of everything. A “spooky” plot line that never truly felt spooky. I enjoyed some of the supporting cast of characters, though. The Scots language humor was good. But it felt like an incomplete ending. The characters’ stories resolved well, but I was sticking around for the history...and in the end we still just have guesses."
