"Sandie Jones is an absolute genius! I had little to no expectations of this book when I began reading. Within the first few pages, I found myself not being able to put the book down. The well thought out revelation of who the characters are, and how they’re all connected is so insanely clever. As this book has heavy UK dialect in it, I assumed it wouldn’t allow me to get the full experience (as an American reading it), but I was wrong! “The First Mistake” is in one of my top 5 favorite books of all time. I’m used to romance novels, so this was a very enlightening story that was heavily focused on suspense but had just enough romance to keep things a bit light hearted. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to read any kind of book!"
"The book was a good quick read. The story opened up many avenues for it to head down which was interesting. I would have given it 3.5 for that. It didn’t get a 4 because it seemed to rush to an end that just didn’t feel as satisfying as it had the potential to be."
