What I Liked:
1. Hannah - I liked Hannah the most of the 3. I loved how quick witted she was and her ability to banter was much more fun. I also liked that she wasn’t painted as someone who loved science/grew up with it and was dedicated the entire time. She felt much more relatable since she found her passion a bit later.

2. Sadie & Mara - both felt really similar to me, especially since they’re interested in similar fields around sustainability. I liked that they had their own quirks (I.e., soccer and bachelor/bachelorette) and that they weren’t painted as just brainiacs. It’s nice that all 3 characters were more than just science

3. How the stories connected together - I like how in Mara’s story we hear a little bit about Sadie and Erik and when we get to Hannah and Ian, we see that Mara/Liam and Sadie/Erik are officially together so we know that there were happy ever after’s for each couple.

4. The epilogue from the guys - it was nice to see their POV for once.

What I Didn’t Like:
1. Lack of Dual POV - since the novellas are short (as novellas are), the single POV made it harder for me to understand certain things in the plots. I wish I knew why Liam stopped sending Mara buy out offers. I wish I knew more about his relationship with Helena and how he felt about Helena giving away part of the house. Also is it even possible to own half a house… and inherit half a house…? I wish I knew what Erik was thinking when they got stuck in the elevator. Why was he so obsessed with Sadie after one date?! I wish I knew how Ian went to Norway or how he found out about Hannah getting stuck.

2. Stuck with you - this was the weakest of the 3 stories to me because Erik and Sadie literally went on one date? And yet they’re both so torn up about all of this where they’re miserable for weeks, even though they barely knew each other. I dunno that part felt weird to me.

3. Repetitive - I will say having read more of Ali Hazelwood’s work, the themes are really similar. They all tend to follow the same pattern/tropes. Same story in a different font. It’s not necessarily a bad thing but it’s also not necessarily a good thing either. Overall, I still enjoy Ali Hazelwood’s work and will keep reading but I can imagine this bothering people.
