"The main character Seth, is more mature then most shonen protagonists, which is nice to see every now and then, but he’s not the most interesting until a bit later on. The curiosity that you would get from the main character is put more into the world, only to be wrangled back into intense curiosity for the main character(s) and the weird past they have. This doesn’t happen in the first volume, but it’s a great set up for the next few. Generally recommend to people who like more magic and weird worlds."
