J.T. Ellison’s pulse-pounding new psychological thriller examines the tenuous bonds of friendship, the power of lies and the desperate lengths people will go to in order to protect their secrets.Goode girls don’t lie…Perched atop a hill in the tiny town of Marchburg, Virginia, The Goode School is a prestigious prep school known as a Silent Ivy. The boarding school of choice for daughters of the rich and influential, it accepts only the best and the brightest. Its elite status, long-held traditions and honor code are ideal for preparing exceptional young women for brilliant futures at Ivy League universities and beyond. But a stranger has come to Goode, and this ivy has turned poisonous. In a world where appearances are everything, as long as students pretend to follow the rules, no one questions the cruelties of the secret societies or the dubious behavior of the privileged young women who expect to get away with murder. When a popular student is found dead, the truth cannot be ignored. Rumors suggest she was struggling with a secret that drove her to suicide. But look closely…because there are truths and there are lies, and then there is everything that really happened.Don’t miss It's One of Us, the next page-turning thriller from New York Times bestselling author J.T. "I have loved getting a new JT Ellison book each year for the past few years! I am always entertained by her books, and Good Girls Lie did not disappoint. This book is a little slower-paced than the last few, but it is still just as full of great drama.

This book starts off really well, and I was so intrigued. As the title suggests, this book is full of lies, and it was fun to watch everything unravel. I did figure out some twists pretty early on, but I was still so wrapped up in the story that it didn't even matter.

Good Girls Lie begins and ends really well, and also kept my attention with everything in between. I loved the setting, and it sort of reminded me of The Furies by Katie Lowe (yet still very different). This was a good dramatic and twisty story, and I can't wait to see what JT Ellison does next!"
"Wow! I finished this book in one sitting. I love a good dark academia thriller and this one does not disappoint! Amazing that sociopathy is evident in 16 year old girls. This book had me hooked from the beginning and kept churning out twist after twist, until the Ultimate ending.
Do not skip reading this one!"
"First off, thank you to NetGalley, Harlequin - MIRA, and J.T. Ellison for an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Good Girls Lie is set at an elite all girls' boarding school where the girls are chosen for excellence and where excellence is expected, even demanded. New girl Ash arrives with secrets and many of the other characters have secrets as well that unfold over the course of the story. I have mixed feelings about this book - I really liked the setting, the interplay between the girls, and the how mean girls are sometimes mean because they have something to hide and/or feel secure. However, I did find the story to be slow in some places (though I was really engaged in others) and I found the ending (ie, the twist) to be too unbelievable and unsatisfying. Overall, it was an okay read but not one of my favorites."
