Now, on the eve of her seventieth birthday, Virginia has asked them all to help her get settled into her magnificent new estate on the rocky coast of Maine, a request each sister reluctantly agrees to, thinking it may be her mother's last. But it is Virginia who has something to give to the daughters she neglected in childhood. For amid the glories of a New England summer, three sisters will finally learn the answers to the questions that have troubled them for years . . . and new truths that will stay with them forever.

"I read this years ago when a friend suggested I take a break from the heavy history books I was reading at the time and try something lighter with a touch of romance (but nothing of the bodice ripping variety- not that there’s anything wrong with that 😊). I remember it being a cozy read that had good pacing with relatable characters that kept me interested (only took a day to read) and went on to read a few others by this author when I needed a quick read and a break from heavier stuff.
