"An adorable crossover!"

"Layover is my third David Bell book, and I am having trouble connecting with this one. I gave the book about 80 pages, and I never felt invested. It has a very slow start, and unfortunately, the mystery is not intriguing enough for me to continue on for another 300 pages. I think readers who are interested in light suspense will enjoy this one (especially since the romantic aspect seems to be pretty heavy), but I don't think I'm the right reader for this one."
