"What I Liked:
1. Lucas and Jill - something refreshing was that both of the main characters were pretty good communicators/honest. They never pretended to want the same thing and were (for the most part) respectful about that boundary. Jill knew Lucas didn’t want a relationship and never forced him to do more or be more than that. Lucas was also pretty much upfront with what he wanted and after his near-death experience, it makes sense that he would be looking to live life to the fullest. And for the most part he and Jill got along. I mean he was a little bit of an asshole when he interfered with Jill and Hal’s date. I also liked the realism to this story. Jill knew she couldn’t hook up with Lucas too often and we actually saw that in the plot. I also appreciated when she was honest about why she couldn’t and stuck to it rather than it being this drawn out plot point. However, since we saw them over the course of months, when Lucas finally admitted he wanted more, it didn’t feel unreasonable or super sudden.

What I Didn’t Like:
1. Overall nothing super red flag like for this novel. Just a super straightforward and light read but also not insanely special/memorable"
