"This is sooo quality. I don't really have more to say than that except it's really good.<br/><br/><spoiler>For the record, I don't think the father should have got locked up for 15 years. Not to say that what he did wasn't horrible. You'd have to be a psychopath to read a book about all the trauma kidnapping Oliver caused for Oliver himself, Oliver's mother, Oliver's mother's new family by extension, and even the whole community to a degree, and think that every day he didn't turn himself in (not to mention the action itself for starters) wasn't selfish and terrible and unfair. But I've always believed that prison is for people who continue to be dangers to society, and I don't believe that Oliver's father is currently dangerous. There's not much he can do anymore. </spoiler><br/><br/><spoiler>That being said, I really like the way this ended. I am so glad he turned himself in and took the decision out of Oliver's hands. Oliver did not deserve to feel guilty for this.</spoiler> Everything about this book's ending was just as satisfying as it could possibly be.<br/><br/>PS in the epilogue someone mentioned Fresno in passing and my mind immediately went to Monsters Vs Aliens and this happened recently enough (like a minute ago) that I can't resist mentioning it here. Like wtf my brain"
