But Sarah is unprepared to confront an angry ghost—real or imagined—on her own. She’s even less prepared for the arrival of Alistair’s associate, rough, unsettling Matthew Ryder, also a veteran of the trenches, whose scars go deeper than Sarah can reach.Soon, Sarah is caught up in a desperate struggle. "A spooky ghost story with a satisfying ending! I only wish that there was more of a jaw dropping twist."

"Overall I liked the plot--it had creepy hauntings, atmospheric moments, and well-developed main characters. However two things I didn't like were fairly big things--the romance and the ending. I don't understand why the romance was put in there at all. It wasn't developed well and I felt weakened the two characters. As for the ending, it just felt anticlimactic. The plot is 4 stars but those two elements bring it down to 3 for me."
