"So glad I finally finished tho read! But similar to my previous review of the first book and what I saw from some other reviews, this is a fairly solid 4/5. I definitely should of done a reread of “All the Stars and Teeth” because i feel like with a book with so many islands/characters/world building etc, you gotta. That and I don’t think a lot of the goings on of the first book was kind of explained in the second? So a reread is almost required?

Overall I really liked this book, loved visiting the world and characters again. I just have the same problems as before. Too much going on for me to be fully invested in everyone/thing and the ending seemed slightly rushed. If it wasn’t for a decent twist and good writing in the end, this might of been a 3/5 for me.

Who knows, maybe if I ever do a reread of both back to back I’ll like this even more?"
"I didn't have high expectations for a sequel, but this book was amazing!! It actually makes sense that that a second book would be better than the first, because the author has grown in their writing abilities. The only thing I didn't like was how Amora made the DUMBEST decisions. It was obvious to me from the first chapter that she should've just told the truth, but instead she was dumb and decided to hide it from everybody. Most of her problems could've been avoided if she had used her common sense and been a rational person! The rest of the book was great. All the characters had spectacular endings that I didn't see coming"
"Ugh this book is so good! Seeing how the events of the first book realistically impacted the characters in this book was so nice and refreshing. Seeing how the characters and their relationships develop throughout was so satisfying to watch as well. Truly a good book - besides that one part at the end :)"
