"This was actually a decent read! It was pretty limited in its Star Wars references and I think if I wasn't a nerd doing their canon homework I could have enjoyed this as a generic Sci-fi novel. Thrawn was presented as charismatic, tactically brilliant, and socially unaware. I started this book not expecting to come out finding Thrawn to be so endearing. Now the book itself is kinda lost. It feels like an ensemble cast that has the luck of orbiting around Thrawn but honestly even Thrawn feels like a secondary character at times. I plan on finishing the series so I do hope it all comes together a little more but even if it doesn't I still found the book to be a fun read!"
