"NOT LIKE THE DISNEY MOVIE
TW: Attempted Sexual Assault, Sexual encounter with minor, Abuse, Child killing.
Let me tell you, I couldn't put the book down. It was difficult for me to understand what was going on in the beginning, but afterward was when it became interesting.
Spoiler:
I watched the Disney version before reading it. I was surprised to see Phebis was also the villian. Frollo was more unhinged, but also compassionate towards Quasi. Esmeralda was unfortunately killed in the end, and worse, she is 16 in the book. There are very uncomfortable parts within the book, but once you get pass those, it is a good read."
