"3.5⭐

Thanks for the free book, Berkley! I finished this one a couple days ago, and I ended up having a sort of middle-of-the-road experience with it. I loved the first portion of the book. It caught my attention early on, and it was pretty mysterious, so I was excited to see how it unraveled.

I wish the transition between timelines was much more seamless - I kept getting confused when it would randomly switched since both timelines were about roadtrips.

The story felt a little too long, and then it was a little over-the-top by the end. I wasn't really satisfied with the resolution. Although I had issues, and I wasn't crazy about the direction it headed in, I still had fun reading it for the most part."
"Éste libro sigue a los nietos en un viaje cuando el abuelo muere les deja en el testamento instrucciones de que tienen que ir en este viaje otra vez antes todos juntos, un road trip que habían ido cuando niños con el abuelo y los que lo logren recibirán su parte de la herencia. un final muy inesperado y una divertida lectura 4.5/5"

"Anyone up for a road trip from hell around the country with your estranged siblings? Yep, most people would pass; however, when you have an inheritance to gain that states you must go on this road trip, well you make do.

The two week road trip consists of all types of non stop twists and turns that leaves you scratching your head wondering what was that about?

The finale was a complete shocker as it brought everything together and you will be saying, NO WAY!!!"
"Eh, not horrible but a chill thriller. Beth’s sister Nikki disappeared many years ago while on a road trip with their crazy grandfather. Nikki ran away after she tried to punish her grandfather for abusing her grandmother. Fast forward to present. Beth is still looking for her sister. Her mother is in prison for killing her husband when he said it was time to stop looking for Nikki. Beth’s grandfather passed away and leaves 8 million in his will if they do the road trip stop for stop and spread his ashes at the end. Everyone’s hiding something. The ending for my memory:
Eddie (oldest brother) killed Nikki when he found her in the woods. Plans to kill Beth and Portia.
Portia (youngest sister) plans to take everyone’s inheritance by spilling secrets. (Eddie has a gambling addiction and doesn’t pay taxes and Beth killed her husband.)
Eddies wife appears dressed as Nikki and kills them all for their parts of the inheritance."
