Vampire musician Michael Glass has attracted the attention of a big- time producer who wants to cut a demo and play some gigs-which means Michael will have to enter the human world. For this, he's been assigned escorts that include both a dangerous immortal as well as Michael's all-too-human friends. "Okay... I am really picky about my ratings. I hardly EVER give a 5 star. But this. Book.
The writing was beautiful.
Hazel's home life is heart-wrenching. Her meeting with Death is beautiful. The way he comes around is totally my pace and strength of feelings I crave in this kind of story.
I was literally crying in the beginning for sadness and crying in the end for a sweet sweet happiness. I knew the story wouldn't end there, so I wasn't sad for any other reason, just excited to pick up the next book. (Which I immediately did!)
A couple of mechanical writing/editing flaws. No big deal.
It was well written. I didn't feel like it was forced. The MC is beautiful, strong, needs protection, but doesn't.. it's all written SO well. I love love love this book!"

"Felt like a retelling mix of Cinderella (but with stepbrothers), Beauty and the beast, and Hades and Persephone.
Was a good read."
