She's cold, calculating, and can deceive with a smile. Jane Doe is back in the Amazon Charts bestselling series--and this time she's met her match. After a brutal childhood, Jane Doe has been permanently wired to look after herself and only herself. Now, looking next to normal, Jane has a lover and a job. But she hasn't lost her edge. It sharpens when she hears from her estranged family. Jane's deeply troubled sixteen-year-old niece, Kayla, has vanished, and no one seems to care. Neither does Jane. Until she sees a picture of Kayla and recognizes herself in the young girl's eyes. It's the empty stare of a sociopath. Jane knows what vengeful and desperate things Kayla is capable of. Only Jane can help her--by being drawn into Kayla's dark world. And no one's more aware than Jane just how dangerous that can be.

"Jane Doe stuck with me for a long time after reading so I was looking forward to the sequel. Really fun to see Jane grow and adapt to new personal challenges while remaining her true, cold self. Great voice. Great concept. Definitely need to read more of Stone’s books. #suspense #revenge #feministnovel"
"Writing reviews for biographies always gives me pause. How can one truly review another person's life? There were moments in this book that completely shattered my heart, especially when reflecting on Terrell's childhood. Yet, witnessing the man he has become fills me with hope and joy.

Is it possible to say one “enjoys” reading about the very real trauma and dysfunction he experienced? I find it difficult to give a straightforward yes. However, I am genuinely grateful that Terrell chose to open up and share his journey; it’s a remarkable evolution from “his story” to “the story”—a true testament to resilience.

The book itself was well written, and I found myself swept up in a whirlwind of emotions—sadness, laughter, and a deep sense of inspiration. Thank you for sharing your truth, Mr. Terrell Carter. May you continue to be blessed on your journey!"

"2.5/5 ⭐️
I had no idea that this was a stepbrother rh, I don’t know what I thought I was reading lol. This was an easy read, I liked the main character but that’s about it. It is very slow burn and for the most part just seemed to be a story informing me about the main characters background and life."
