An unexpected gift offers the power to change everything-but keeping it could cost Diem her life. The threat of war has arrived at Diem's doorstep, along with a new discovery that could save her people. To use it, she must survive the next thirty days by forming a devil's bargain with the people she hates most: the royal family of House Corbois. But as she dives into the world of the Descended elite, Diem quickly realizes good and evil aren't as simple as they seem. Old prejudices are challenged, and new loyalties blur the line between friend and foe. Meanwhile, her mother is still missing, and the secrets she left behind can no longer be ignored-and neither can the Guardians and their demands. Caught between an old flame and a sizzling new spark, Diem must confront the truth about who she is and what she wants before time runs out. War is coming, and dangerous enemies wait on all sides.. but the most deadly battle Diem faces may be the one for her heart. Glow of the Everflame is the second book in The Kindred's Curse Saga, a four-book epic fantasy romance series that follows our fiesty, bad*ss heroine Diem Bellator in her fight against injustice and oppression, her struggle to survive in a royal palace full of betrayal and intrigue, and her journey of self-discovery and finding true love. This slow burn, enemies-to-lovers series is perfect for fans of unique magic systems, dragons and other mythical creatures, angst and romantic tension, and hilarious banter. This book will appeal to fans of plot-heavy, character-driven romantasy such as A Court of Thorns and Roses, Throne of Glass, From Blood and Ash, Gild, Shadow & Bone, and The Serpent & the Wings of Night. Content warning (MAY INCLUDE SPOILERS): death, violence, sexual content, swearing. This book contains adult themes and is intended for readers 18+. This book ends in a cliffhanger.

"This book follows Diems 30 day waiting period before coronation!
Ok yall this BOOOK! I flew through it today and I am absolutely SPEECHLESS! Ok PRINCE LUTHERRRRRR I see you 🤤🤤 I’ll be honest this book absolutely ATE and I need more so bad. There was so much tension and slow burn honestly i was drooling. Dear god I need to read the next one NOW. Also the cliff hanger?????? PLEASE WHAT IS HAPPENING"
"Wow. I BLASTED through this book. I was physically incapable of stopping. I don’t even know where to start. Diem is strong but also vulnerable, struggling with who to trust and dealing with so much. While this is the slowest of burns…Luther is everything you want in an MMC and is a top tier book boyfriend. Sorae, the gryvern, is equal parts loyal, protective and absolutely adorable. Taran is a perfectly timed comedian and “tell it like it is” friend. The story was so good, and frustrating and heartbreaking and exciting! Can’t wait to dive immediately into the next book after that cliffhanger."
"Best cliffhanger I’ve read in a while"

"This was quite an enjoyable read! The storyline kept me engaged and I always love a found family trope - Taran! My man. My man. My man! Every now and then something about the plot didn’t sit well with me. Sometimes there’d be a group of people together but at any given time 2 of them would randomly have a conversation that no one else could hear? There were a few other very convenient plot pieces that didn’t really make sense. It seems like the author just decided that x happened even though it doesn’t make sense and had never happened before but we don’t get any true insight as to why. Still, I’m invested and can’t wait for book 3!"
"cannot believe i forced myself to read the second book in this series. closest to dnf i have ever come. the fmc became even more insufferable and the one redeeming part of the series, the mmc, has become the biggest simp he wont even stand up to the fmc when shes being an idiot. will not be reading the next one."
