The New York Times bestselling security droid with a heart (though it wouldn't admit it!) is back in Fugitive Telemetry!Having captured the hearts of readers across the globe (Annalee Newitz says it's "one of the most humane portraits of a nonhuman I've ever read") Murderbot has also established Martha Wells as one of the great SF writers of today. No, I didn't kill the dead human. If I had, I wouldn't dump the body in the station mall. When Murderbot discovers a dead body on Preservation Station, it knows it is going to have to assist station security to determine who the body is (was), how they were killed (that should be relatively straightforward, at least), and why (because apparently that matters to a lot of people—who knew?) Yes, the unthinkable is about to happen: Murderbot must voluntarily speak to humans!Again! "Murderbot returns!! And they have to solve a mystery! It’s the crossover event of my dreams, I’m tempted to recommend this to both my SFF and mystery books clubs to have an excuse to discuss it twice.

As always, the humor is what carries the story, and I’ll take any adventures I can get from my favorite AI."

"Although a fun addition to the collection I was a little thrown by the complete lack of connection with the previous books. I can't tell if this happens after the last story or in between as a "monster of the week" sort of addition. There is no tie-in to A.R.T. or Amina and none of the characters address previous adventures. They are just on Preservation Station and Murderbot is trying to work with the local authorities to solve a murder. So yes, fun but a minor head scratch on the timing."
"Murderbot breaks the mold of the past couple of books, focusing on tracking down a murderer rather then a client. Sadly,. Was my least favorite Murderbot book, but was still a fun read. It was a nice use of 2 hours, but I wish we had more time with the Bot that worked at the mall. He was way cooler than Jollybaby, and doesn't get enough love."
