The only girl in a house of boys, Julia Martini worked extra hard to get noticed. That has made her business-minded and driven, and she's determined to turn her family's struggling bar around. Simple. All she has to do is remodel, re-staff, and rebrand the place, work insane hours and ignore the sexy blonde who comes in to...she's flirting, right? 'Cause Julia's rusty and has zero time for dating, even if their chemistry is off-the-charts steamy. Savannah McNally's needs always come last. A caretaker by trade, she also takes care of her widowed dad, her brother, her sister, and everybody else on the planet, it seems. When her dad finally starts dating, Savannah can focus on her own life for once--her career, her house, maybe even that super-hot bartender at Martini's who has her thinking naughty thoughts. When family feuds are exposed and a popular blog trashes the bar, the weight of business decisions, family loyalty, and life in general may outweigh their attraction that could lead to more.

"Shaken and Stirred starts off with driven Julia, who is working hard to get her families bar to be a success... as long as she doesn't get distracted by sexy Savannah, who comes with her own set of problems. As family feuds pop up and a blogger starts trashing Julia's bar, do Julia and Savannah have a chance to get to know one another?

From the moment Julia and Savannah meet, sparks fly! Both girls come from loving, tight families, that they would do anything for!! Savannah, the oldest and mom figure after her mother's passing, cares for her younger brother (who has addiction problems), and sister. Julia is the middle daughter of 5, comkng between 4 brothers. She doesn't fit her families "Italian catholic" tradition mold,, being gay and owning a bar. But Savannah and Julia, can feel the attraction for each other from day one, and the chemistry is real! As their relationship builds, problems arise, but Savannah and Julia want to make this work. Can they out last the tension between them and an old family fund? Why is this blogger posting bad reviews? Will work-driven Julia make it through this?

This story was an easy LGBTQIA book for those interested in love outside of the "normal" (boy x girl) romance story. Julia and Savannah have everything a romance book needs; chemistry, some drama, and an interested 3rd party. What's not to love about this book?

I gave the book 4.25/5 stars. I loved the characters and watching then grow towards each other, but the character development was minimal. Still a must read for any romance fan!

I'd like to say a huge thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review.

#reading2021 #fallreading2021 #LGBTQIA #aswizzlestickromance #netgalley"
