" ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 Another hit from Brendan Slocumb for me. He is such a great storyteller who manages to write about serious themes of power, privilege, disparity and art in a heartbreaking yet compelling and entertaining way. This one is very slow in the beginning so I didn’t think it was going to live up to The Violin Conspiracy but once it hits the second timeline it takes off. I was on the edge of my seat at the powerful ending. "
"Another great mystery in the world of music! A lost movement from a great American composer is found, and a professor is asked to transcribe it for performance. While researching the composers doodles, he uncovers information on two musicians who create music together. After a time, however, it becomes apparent who is the composer and who is the exploiter. "
"I loved Josephine and her workings of her brain. Her heart was fragile and pure. I wish I could have been her friend. <br/>This story educates you, opens your mind to experiences you could never truly understand, and leaves scars on your heart. And it gives you a tiny glimpse of hope."
