It makes me feel . . . unsafe. It's the summer between middle school and high school, and Aiden Navarro is away at camp. Everyone's going through changes—but for Aiden, the stakes feel higher. "i think i did this book a disservice by reading too fast. i probably would've cried if i'd taken more time with it. wholeheartedly agree with the blurb on the cover. "this book will save lives.""

"reading this book as someone who has struggled greatly with suicidal thoughts , bullying due to my ethnicity ,and being a young queer person changed me on one level or another. i could see myself in aidan. it helped me in a time where i was really struggling. this is such an important read and i hope other people love it as much as i do."

"2.5 stars

It was good. I just found it slow and the boys were very obnoxious. That was probably the point but i hated them. There was a lot of homophobic jokes. The rest of the characters were really boring.

It was probably a story that sone people needed to hear but it wasn’t for me."

"I absolutely loved this book. I unfortunately relate to alot of what it talks about. This book will and probably has saved young gay people. I definitely recommend it."

"This is such a powerful book with such an important message. Mark Curato takes on Aiden’s journey of self discovery. Through the friendships, the bullying and the lowest of lows.
This was an emotional journey and I feel anyone who is questioning themselves should give this a read. "

"Quite interesting, this graphic novel was really good and covered a lot topics like racism, homophobia, suicide, and self esteem. A truly wonderful story that others can most likely relate to. I would most definitely recommend reading this book! I read it within two hours!"
