eginning of the book talk about how tired she was for the first 10 chapters which was so boring. I understand she is tired and doesn’t get sleep. Let’s move on…..

Characters:
The only character I liked was Waylon. He seemed most intelligent and interesting.

Izzy just annoyed me I felt nothing for her honestly. Like I was not invested in her what so ever.

Margret was sweet I hate she died young. (Very predictable btw)

Past:
I loved reading the past. Those to me where much much more interesting then the present day.

Plot twist:
I did like the twist at the end. I did not see it coming what so ever. I seriously couldn’t find a suspect to save my life. I thought maybe the baby wasn’t real. But I was way off. Oh and wth?? We spend this entire time looking for Mason. And once he is found, we don’t see his reaction with Izzy… that’s stupid. Lol

I found the book to be a bit of a slow burn. I generally felt very bad for Isabelle losing her child and wanting answers so that she could grieve properly. Once the story got going there were a number of twists, which I did enjoy. The book does discuss health issues related to mental illness, which gave my sympathy for certain characters. It also creates a “grey” area, when a character does something wrong, it may be forgivable in the eyes of the reader.

There were a couple of things that I felt were unrealistic. First was the police in both the “then” and the “now”. I felt that the decisions that both police squads made would not have actually happened. The other thing that I felt was unrealistic was Isabelle not sleeping for a year.

I did enjoy the ending, and how the epilogue wrapped up
