"As someone who had a hard time in high school because of people like the MC this was incredibly triggering and hard to get through. In no way did she deserve to have any of the actions done to her that she did, but it also doesn’t excuse all the bad that she did and just suddenly turn her into a good person. I hated every second of her perspective and being in her head. This book is literally like Mean Girls but on steroids. I seriously can’t believe that one of my all time favorite authors wrote all these other amazing books, but she also wrote this. Cracked Up To Be showed us the POV of a “mean girl” but she wasn’t nearly this extreme or awful as Regina. I really don’t understand the purpose of this book. I do not recommend this book at all, in fact, it will be the one book by Courtney Summers that I pretend just doesn’t exist."
