Even in a small town the drama is larger than life...Cleo Quinn doesn't have the greatest track record when it comes to men, but now Will's come along. Handsome and attentive, he could be her Mr Right. Things are definitely looking up for Cleo... apart from one small problem with a rather large ego. Johnny LaVenture, sculptor extraordinaire and her personal childhood nemesis, is back in Channing's Hill and tormenting her as if he'd never been away.Meanwhile Cleo's sister Abbie has a problem of her own—husband Tom has become distant and withdrawn, and she's determined to find out why. But will the shocking truth mean the end of their idyllically happy marriage? The sisters are about to discover that the past can come back to haunt you, and that love can flourish in the unlikeliest of places...Praise for Jill Mansell:"Pick this up at your peril: you won't get a thing done till it's finished." —Heat Magazine"Witty and charming, this easygoing tale is full of twists that make it hard to put down." —Woman Magazine"Mansell knows her craft and delivers a finely tuned romantic comedy." —Kirkus"A fast pace and fun writing make the story fly by." —Publishers Weekly

"*NO TBR PROMPT- PULLED COVER IMAGE OUT OF TBR JAR*
This was really cute lol. Now, since I've had this book for a full year, I will admit that when I looked at it and the other one I own by Jill, on my bookshelf, I had this feeling that the books weren't going to be good, and that made me not want to pick them up anymore. Which I will say has never happened to me before. That's why I was glad when I pulled this book out of my jar, it definitely proved me wrong. At some moments though, the writing did make me feel like I should've read a previous book by her to get all the details, but in reality I had to wait a few more paragraphs to find out the full story lol. There were also plenty of times where the pov's would change out of nowhere. Literally there could be someone inner monologuing or something and then the next sentence would be from a different pov! And there were about 4 to 5 pov's! But other than that I absolutely loved this story, the first half was set during the Christmas time but after that it, it was over lol. The relationships between family, friends and couples, were demonstrated wonderfully especially when it came down to the hard times. It was hilarious and clean mind you! I can't wait to read her other book and then maybe, depending if that one is good, I'll pick up more by Jill!"
"<strong>Redundant baby talk</strong><br/><br/>Insta-love story. There is never any real connection established between these 2 characters. Every chapter is nearly identical with her feeling sorry for herself and him gushing over how in love with her he is. Tanner has a daughter who conveniently is usually with someone else. The drama at the end is so ridiculous. I like that Tanner wasn't the alpha male jerk we usually get in these books, but I still didn't like him. Just page after page of them declaring their eternal love and her doubting whether she deserves it or not. I won't give any spoilers but the fact that this town would acknowledge the anniversary of a sexual assault is just absurd. I'll pass on any of this author's other books."

"Overall it was a good book. I liked all the characters and for the most part felt the tensions and resolutions were believably. Even if we think a character is acting irrationally doesn't mean a real person wouldn't do the same. <br/><br/>I didn't like being beaten over the head by Maddie's supposed good girl Catholic guilt. She'd obviously had sex before marriage with her fiancé so not sure why that kept bring brought up with Mitch. I can see feeling guilty but bringing the Catholic upbringing into it (which was just referred to not explored) just seemed superficial and didn't need to be mentioned more than once. <br/><br/>Other than that a fast read and look forward to the next one in the series. <br/><br/>"
