The Others freed the cassandra sangue to protect the blood-prophets from exploitation, not realizing their actions would have dire consequences. Now the fragile seers are in greater danger than ever before - both from their own weaknesses and from those who seek to control their divinations for wicked purposes. In desperate need of answers, Simon Wolfgard, a shape-shifter leader among the Others, has no choice but to enlist blood-prophet Meg Corbyn's help, regardless of the risks she faces by aiding him.

"This series keeps getting better. I love the slowly evolving relationship between Simon and Meg. The reader knows that they are in love, but they are discovering it in bits and pieces. The characters are well developed and so lovable (even when they are scary). I highly recommend this series, but definitely start with the first book."
"Audiobook reread: I'm loving the audiobooks. I had this idea that because I know the story it would be easier to quit for the day. Nope. I just want to sink into this world forever.<br/><br/>Visions in Silver feels like this is all the brewing of a storm that will be unleashed in the next book. I got to the end and was immediately sad it was over and I wanted more. Like another 500 pages or so more. Things are changing in the courtyard, for better or for worse. The humans have pushed the others too far and things are not looking good for the next book. But I can't wait to read it. I loved watching everything start slowly, like baby winds stirring the grass until it turned into a hurricane. We have yet to see what path the hurricane will take, but I'm sure the next book or two will show us what has been brewing and what exactly will happen to those humans who think they can control and rule the others.<br/><br/>There is nothing I love more than this confused view Meg and Simon have when it comes to their relationship. One is human, one is a wolf who has a human form. They are not one and the same. So they keep getting these weird little moments when they feel like they are missing something and it's fun to watch them try to work out what it is that they want. Does one lick a human goodbye? Does one kiss a wolf on the cheek? I really do love this because they both are so befuddled by all of this stuff because they don't quite know what is happening, but everyone else sure does. It's almost like teenagers trying to figure out if holding hands is okay or not.<br/><br/>I love this series. Even though I'm rooting for the others and hope they beat those mean humans, I'm ready for more adventures. I want more! I need more now!"
"Guys. I love me some slow building, slice-of-life paranormal/scifi/fantasy. Love it. But goodness gracious I struggled with this one. <br/>I LOVE the world and I LOVE the characters and I will ABSOLUTELY be continuing with the series, BUT. BUT. BUT. <br/>The plot dragged so hard in the middle. <br/>SO. HARD. <br/>So many things were repeated over and over. <br/>SO. MANY. THINGS. <br/>"A thousand cuts."<br/>"Someone figured out a cassandra sangue can only make a thousand cuts" <br/>"He refused to count how many cuts"<br/>"How many more cuts did she have left"<br/>We get it. We GET it. <br/>I'll stop now, you get the point. <br/>Back to the good stuff. I love all the little moments we get to see, the day-to-day things in this alternative universe. I love the parallels you can draw between this world and The Others universe (Britannia, the Great Lakes, wave cookers) but everything feels just a bit fresh and just a bit whimsical. I love seeing the ponies! Cute, grumpy, fat lil forces of nature that turn into valiant steeds! <br/>Now I'm onto the next one. I'm just hoping for a eensy wheensy bit more paring down of the drawn out plot and the repetition from here on out."
"Still amazing series in book three. Anne Bishop has an amazing capacity to write about things that are hard-core WRONG, like grinding up people while they are still alive in order to make a weaponized drug, while still humanizing (and Othering) her characters and their reactions. She and Patricia Briggs duke it out regularly as my favorite authors. I think Anne only loses because she isn't as prolific as Patricia. ;)"
