"If you're going to read it, I would recommend getting a hard copy and just flipping/skimming through to find the interesting parts. Most of it is basic day-to-day entries, so I wouldn't say it's interesting enough to listen to all 19 hrs of it like I did. I do have to say though, I did enjoy getting a peak into his unfiltered thoughts."
"This was years of Rickman’s journal entries that showed him to be ordinary, funny, caring and yet showed him being the actor we love. I loved reading them because my grandfather kept journals his whole life and I got to read them when he passed and they read exactly the same-some days are run of the mill, boring and other days are exciting. Short entries and as life goes on, far too many friends passing away. I read and finished this in the same day I got it from the library. (Today) "
"4/5 stars. Kept having to remind myself that these were diary entries. There is no plot. After that I found it fascinating to glimpse into someone's personal thoughts. The diary entries provided a raw look at his exact thoughts and emotions at that time. It broke my heart near the end of year 2015. I could see that Rickman was getting weaker with the shorter entries. The fact that they just stop is even worse. Remus afterward filled in the gaps of rickman's last month. I did not read the extra entries that were provided, I felt that because it was only a select few it wouldn't have been the same. Overall, I found it to be a different take on memoirs. Rickman was a talented individual who truly loved his craft. I was sad when he died and I was sad when I read about him dying again."
