"I am never certain what to expect when reading books from authors I've never read before - especially when these books have extremely short descriptions. Don't Wake Up by Liz Lawler was no exception. Needless to say, I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I picked up this book.

That is, however, not a bad thing in this case. Lawler's impeccable writing had me hooked from start to finish. From the moment I opened the book and read the first paragraph, I knew I was in for a wild, unforgettable ride.

It has been a very long time since I have read a book that kept my attention the entire time. There was never a moment while reading this novel that I felt distracted or bored. Usually when I read a book I tend to find at least one chapter that is boring, and I spend its entirety wondering why that particular chapter exists. However, every chapter within this book is interesting in it's own right.

Some books start off great and then dull out as you go along. This is definitely not one of those. Don't Wake Up simply gets better and better the further you read. It contains a level of suspense that starts in chapter one and builds throughout until you are devouring every word on the edge of your seat because you have to know what happens.

The ending is simply amazing. I don't want to give any spoilers - especially considering this is a book that it's best not to know much about going into it. But we'll suffice to say that the ending is everything!

I definitely recommend this book. I will be adding it to my collection to eventually read again!"
