“My life was complete. Happy, content, everything neat and perfect. Then it all changed. I was sold.” Tess Snow has everything she ever wanted: one more semester before a career in property development, a loving boyfriend, and a future dazzling bright with possibility. For their two year anniversary, Brax surprises Tess with a romantic trip to Mexico. Sandy beaches, delicious cocktails, and soul-connecting sex set the mood for a wonderful holiday. With a full heart, and looking forward to a passion filled week, Tess is on top of the world. But lusty paradise is shattered. Kidnapped. Drugged. Stolen. Tess is forced into a world full of darkness and terror. Captive and alone with no savior, no lover, no faith, no future, Tess evolves from terrified girl to fierce fighter. But no matter her strength, it can’t save her from the horror of being sold. Can Brax find Tess before she’s broken and ruined, or will Tess’s new owner change her life forever? A New Adult Dark Contemporary Romance, not suitable for people sensitive to grief, slavery, and hard to read subjects. A story about finding love in the strangest of places, a will of iron that grows from necessity, and forgiveness that may not be enough.

"I honestly didn't even want to post that I have halfway read this book but this will definitely remind me to not pick it up ever again. The main protagonist has Stockholm syndrome. She is has been treated so horribly by the world and other men that she is bonding with a monster. I kept reading so long because I honestly wanted to know if the author portrayed this as ok. I didn't finish so I can't say %100 but from what I've read so far it seems to be the case. I can't read anymore. She is blaming herself for everything that is happening to her and she is staying as Q's slave because he will protect her from all the other bad people. Honestly I had to do an inventory of my morals because this book was trying to mess with them. The plot is pretty much saying that if you give up things will be better......will they? You have weird desires sure but do you need to sacrifice your freedom to have them? No you do not. I just don't think there is a big enough twist to make what this monster did ok. Unless he is possed by a demon and it's not him doing it. Even so I don't want to find out. I really regret reading this it's just disturbing. Never give up that should be the moral of the story."
