After a lifetime of being bullied, Daelyn is broken beyond repair. She has tried to kill herself before, and is determined to get it right this time. Though her parents think they can protect her, she finds a Web site for "completers" that seems made just for her. She blogs on its forums, purging her harrowing history. At her private Catholic school, the only person who interacts with her is a boy named Santana. No matter how poorly she treats him, he just won't leave her alone. And it's too late for Daelyn to be letting people into her life . . . isn't it? In this harrowing, compelling novel, Julie Anne Peters shines a light on what might make a teenager want to kill herself, as well as how she might start to bring herself back from the edge. A discussion guide and resource list prepared by "bullycide" expert C. J. Bott are included in the back matter.

"this book was really good, but the cliff hanger oh my gosh! it really shows what it’s like to suffer from mental illness."

This book was absolutely heartbreaking. Trigger warning, right off of the bat, this book is centered around a suicidal teenager. She cannot speak due to a prior attempt to end her life, she has body image issues, she has been bullied and assaulted multiple times - and at the moment, she is utterly emotionless. She joins an anonymous, high-tech website on her computer which acts as a personal contract to when you will end your life - methods (which I beg of you, please do not use), ideas for goodbye notes, the ability to talk to other anonymous people, high technology identification, it's all there. Her parents are worried, and she doesn't really have an amazing relationship with them due to her trying to put distance between them before she reaches her expiration date - but then she meets a boy, an annoying, lonely and insistent boy, who doesn't understand why she rips pages from her novel after reading them, like a countdown of sorts. A boy who may be the only thing making her doubt her decision."

"Good read. Very emotional but helps you understand social themes that aren't typically up for discussion. Highly recommend. However, the ending took me for a loop. "
