"It's an interesting premise less grounded in reality than Jurassic Park, and there's plenty of horror and gore, but the writing is juvenile and misogynistic in places. There's a decent horror story with lots of rough patches. There are two authors so I don't know whose fault it is but all the men leer over the female characters to a disgusting degree which doesn't add anything, it's just weird and distracting. It's not even one character is unlikable and that's his personality, it's all the men which makes it feel like it's the author. From the guy who apparently loves his wife but objectifies one lady over and over in thought and deed to the serial cheater. When the book focuses on the horror it's fine, if sparse. There's a bare minimum of description, which is preferable to flowery language and waxing poetic but I did find myself being disappointed by the prose that was there. Still, it's good when it gets going but then a rough patch will kill the momentum. I want to like it but it feels like an unpolished first draft to me."
"Such a fun read. Not scary but fun."

"I really liked this book. It scared the heck out of me, the characters were relatable and the action was nonstop."
